Bio: the only returning player without a single game played at the JV level. He's the John Olerud of Conant High School. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. In his first varsity season Steve Record was right up there with the team leaders in every offensive category. Unfortunately he went through a bit of a funk in 2007, but all signs point towards him turning it around again. With the biggest bashers of a year ago leaving, Steve Record will likely move from the nine spot he held, all the way up to the most important position in the order in the three hole. Not only will his bat be key, but his glove from short stop needs to be as steady as it's been in his high school career. With the little depth in the pitching department, we're all going to be leaning on Steve to throw a lot of quality innings. He made one start in his freshman year, and for whatever reason only made one appearance in his sophomore. Fortunately, in his seasons after high school in both years he managed to get some innings in, and we all know the stuff he can bring.
